                                                                                                                           Lab Tests Online

This website, designed primarily for consumers, was developed to aid the user in understanding the clinical laboratory tests one might undergo as a part of routine medical care or for diagnostic purposes. The site is a collaboration between several professional societies representative of the clinical laboratory community. It may be searched either of two ways: alphabetically by condition or disease name, or according to age group categories for appropriate routine health screenings.

From the website: "...the PHIL offers an organized, universal electronic gateway to CDC's pictures. We welcome public health professionals, the media, laboratory scientists, educators, students, and the worldwide public to use this material for reference, teaching, presentation, and public health messages. The content is organized into hierarchical categories of people, places, and science, and is presented as single images, image sets, and multimedia files."
